Privacy policy
In short: Dosebook has no account, no server of its own and no analytics. What you record stays on your devices and, if you turn it on, in your own private iCloud. It is never sent to the people who make Dosebook.
What Dosebook stores
Whatever you enter: protocols, vials and their contents, doses, weight, how you feel, bloodwork results, notes and settings. This is health information, and it is yours.
Where it lives
On the device you use it on. If you are signed in to iCloud, Dosebook also keeps it in your private iCloud database so your iPhone, iPad and Mac stay in step. That database belongs to your Apple ID. The developers of Dosebook cannot read it. Without iCloud, nothing leaves the device.
Apple Health
If you allow it, Dosebook reads your weight, sleep and resting heart rate so they can sit beside your doses and check-ins. It only reads. It never writes to Health, and it does not share what it reads with anyone.
Camera and photos
Scanning a vial label or a bloodwork report reads text from a photo on your device. The photo is not uploaded and is not kept.
Notifications and Face ID
Reminders are scheduled on your device and do not pass through any server. By default they say only that a dose is due, so a lock screen reveals nothing. The optional lock uses Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode through Apple. Dosebook never sees your biometric data.
No tracking
No analytics, no advertising, no third-party code that collects data, and no account. Dosebook does not know who you are or how you use it.
Backups and exports
A backup, a spreadsheet or a clinician report is a file you create and keep wherever you choose. Dosebook does not send it anywhere. Treat it as you would any health record.
Deleting your data
In Settings you can erase everything in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data. To remove what is in iCloud, use iCloud storage settings on your device. Dosebook has no copy to delete.
This website
This site is static. It has no cookies and no analytics. Its hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs, such as your IP address, as any website does.
Children
Dosebook is not meant for children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
